Canine & Feline Wellness
At Advanced PetCare of Northern Nevada, we believe that preventative care is the foundation for a healthy, happy, long-lived pet. Dogs and cats age faster than people and with most cats and dogs being mature at 1 to 2 years of age. At 10 to 12 years of age, cats are entering their senior years and dogs at 7 to 10 years of age. Because they age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short period of time.
Many diseases are treatable if caught before irreversible changes have occurred. Therefore we recommend annual or bi-annual physical examinations to help us prevent, diagnose, and treat problems before they become life-threatening. Each exam is tailored to the pet’s life stage and we welcome any questions you may have about their health during these visits.
Preventative and Wellness Care
We provide vaccination based on individual lifestyle. Routine diagnostics such as blood panels, fecal examination, and blood pressure are important during wellness visits to monitor for early signs of disease. Nutrition needs may change throughout your pet’s life and we are happy to address questions about specific diets.
